Stereo 2 Inspection Drone
Description
Stereo 2 is a cage-protected, compact drone for one-time or repetitive inspection tasks in tight, dusty environments.
The drone provides high-resolution images, videos and measurable 3D models of the structures to be observed.
Stereo 2 is equipped with a novel, image-based positioning system to be able to move centimeter-accurately in indoor systems. The positioning system allows the drone to maintain exact distances and alignment to walls and ceilings. Laser sensors (lidar) and a stable cage prevent unwanted collisions.
Due to the compact design, Stereo 2 structures can be flown on that are no larger than a diameter of 40cm.
The exceptionally bright LED lighting system penetrates dust and optimally illuminates the surrounding structures.
The control and video signals of the drone (radio waves) often do not propagate ideally indoors. To ensure an optimal connection to the drone, antenna cables can be laid temporarily or permanently.
