MODULE_X – Smart Drone Detection

MODULE_X Smart Drone Detection with Remote ID and ADS-B

MODULE_X is an intelligent module for detecting and locating drones and their remote controllers based on their transmitted radio signals. The system receives Open Drone ID (Remote ID) according to EN 4709-002 via Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz / 5.8 GHz) as well as ADS-B signals from airborne participants. As soon as a drone enters a defined security zone, MODULE_X automatically detects it and triggers an alarm. This makes the system ideally suited for monitoring industrial facilities, critical infrastructures, events, authorities, logistics sites and military installations.

Suitable Applications

Seamless Integration into Existing Systems

MODULE_X is a standalone module of the ADIS Suite and can be seamlessly integrated into existing security and control systems. The collected drone data can be transmitted via standardized interfaces to video management systems, control centers or individual applications.

Depending on the system configuration, the following functions are available:

  • Real-time detection of Open Drone ID and ADS-B
  • Alarm notification when entering defined security zones
  • Ethernet network connection
  • JSON data output for custom software
  • Easy integration into existing security solutions

Due to its modular design, MODULE_X can be used both as a standalone sensor and as part of complex security architectures.

Precise Localization in Open Space

Open Drone ID already contains position data of the drone as well as additional telemetry data. MODULE_X evaluates this information in real time and presents it clearly.

Received information:

DataDescription
Drone positionGPS coordinates
AltitudeCurrent altitude
SpeedFlight speed
Flight directionCurrent flight direction
Pilot positionPosition of the remote controller or pilot
Serial numberUnique drone ID
Operator IDOperator registration number

Depending on the antenna and line of sight conditions, ranges from several hundred meters to more than one kilometer are possible.

Excellent for creating meaningful situational awareness images

Legal Information

Open Drone ID is a publicly transmitted radio protocol according to the European standard EN 4709-002. Receiving and evaluating the transmitted Remote ID data is permitted. However, the operator ID can only be assigned to a natural person by the responsible aviation authorities. Open Drone ID is not cryptographically signed and is therefore fundamentally susceptible to manipulation.
